Success Stories
Success in READ 180 far exceeds any test result a student will receive. It helps put students on track to careers that encourage their full potential and cultivates lifelong learning. Meet some former students whose experiences with READ 180 brought about life-changing results.
Roger Hurts
In high school, Roger Hurts was powerful on the athletic field, but as a reader, he struggled and lacked confidence in himself. A devoted teacher helped him get into a special-education program where he was introduced to READ 180—and he thrived. Today, Roger works at a treatment center helping kids facing the same challenges he overcame to accelerate and achieve.
Joe Vang
In sixth grade, Joe was reading well below grade level, and felt intimidated whenever he saw words on a page. Then he was introduced to READ 180. Through the program, Joe gained self-confidence, and was reading on-level by the end of the year. Today, he attends Cal State University, Los Angeles, where he is an award-winning student film director—and an avid reader.
Jamaica Williams
When Jamaica entered fifth grade, she was reading at a first-grade level, disliking school, and unhappy with herself. Her teacher was determined to help her. With READ 180 as part of her curriculum that year, Jamaica’s Lexile® level soared. Now looking ahead to college, Jamaica inspired her mother, who has dyslexia, to finish school and work to become a nurse.
Research
As the most thoroughly researched and documented reading intervention program in the world, READ 180 is on the cutting edge of transformative brain science and adaptive technology.
