Nicki Slaugh, Principal, Quest Academy Technology Charter, West Haven, Utah

My name is Nicki Slaugh and this is my 21st year in education. During my first ten years I had the opportunity to teach kindergarten, 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade. After that I was an instructional coach for four years and this is my seventh year in administration.

Throughout my journey, my passion has been meeting the needs of all learners, creating a positive school culture, STEM Education, and my latest accomplishment and has been on transitioning a school with a traditional focus to a more personalized competency based learning focus.

I have had the opportunity to speak nationally to educators and leaders on topics such as self paced math, personalized learning in a blended learning environment, rattling the cage in a traditional classroom, using technology as a tool and how to lead with passion.
