A lifelong educator, Dr. Giselle Carpio-Williams is committed to supporting educational excellence for all students, with a passion for elevating multilingual learners. She began as an educator and advocate for multilingual learners in a dual-language school, followed by roles in coaching and leadership. Dr. Carpio-Williams earned her doctorate in educational leadership with her research emphasis on English language learners. Her current role as Vice President Multilingual Advocacy & Content at HMH combines her passion for elevating multilingual students with her knowledge of educational trends to inform schools’ selections of programs that support success for all students.

Dr. Carpio-Williams is the Founder and Co-chair of the Employee Resource Group HMH Unidos, which focuses on the education, professional growth, and celebration of employees who identify as Latinx and/or Hispanic. She is a frequent speaker at educational and diversity conferences; her most recent presentation was Ensuring Educational Equity for Multilinguals at the NABE conference.
