Fernando started his work in education as a middle and high school teacher, teaching both math and ENL (English as a New Language) classes. He has served as a mathematics assessment specialist and a mentor and supervisor to secondary pre-service math teachers. Fernando is a dog dad and enjoys tutoring math students of all ages outside of work. He holds a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in Mathematics from Purdue University.
