Dr. Michael J. Bolz
Principal Learning Experience Designer, HMH
As a principal learning experience designer within the core content experience team at HMH, Dr. Michael Bolz provides guidance to ensure products are grounded in learning science. He has a rich background in education consulting as well as education research at the Learning Sciences Research Institute at the University of Illinois Chicago.
Michael’s commitment to education extends beyond research. He served on the Board of Education in his community for over a decade, as board president and chair of the district’s technology and curriculum committees. His leadership roles have equipped him with a deep understanding of educational policy, technology integration, and curriculum development.
Driven by a passion for translating research into practical applications, Michael leverages his extensive experience in education leadership and his expertise in learning sciences to enhance HMH’s educational products. His work ensures that innovative, evidence-based solutions are implemented to improve teaching and learning outcomes.
