Read Across America…and Beyond!

Read Across America

Literature is a way of helping your students discover times and places through the written word that they might not otherwise know. Some of America’s most beloved authors have shed light on the many lessons life has to teach us in stories that take place from coast to coast. Read Across America Day was March 2 and is an annual event sponsored by the NEA to encourage Americans of all ages and backgrounds to pick up a book and expand their horizons. In honor of the event, this March we’re highlighting some resources available on HMH Marketplace that are designed to support the study of classic stories. Take a literary journey and see where some of these titles can take your class!

If you are covering any of these titles in your classroom, HMH Marketplace has supplemental resources developed by other teachers that can support the readings.
