February 14 is a day of love, and at HMH we love our community of educators.
For this Valentine’s Day, we asked teachers across the country to express their love for literacy in honor of the 20th anniversary of READ 180 Universal, HMH’s leading blended reading intervention program. Teachers wished READ 180 a happy birthday by submitting photos using the hashtag #CelebrateREAD180 on Twitter.
We looked through all the submissions and chose a winner based on creativity. The winner, selected based on their creativity (pictures below), receives an Oculus Go™ so they can visit a READ 180 classroom in virtual reality! Since its inception, the intervention program—which accelerates learning for struggling readers—has touched the lives of 10 million students across 40,000 classrooms.
We loved all of your great submissions and wanted to give a big thank you for the warm READ 180 wishes! We hope that READ 180 has helped your students develop a passion for reading, learning, and blended learning.
And the winner of the contest is…
Tammy Grimes from Camelback High School in Phoenix, Arizona.
