How can you get students to embrace the mindset to try, fail, and then try again?

When the North Kansas City School District approached Math Solutions for support in implementing an instructional shift away from the traditional “teacher as lecturer” model, we proposed classroom coaching.

District math administrators were seeking to engage students in developing their own questioning strategies. Math Solutions coaches partnered with them to give shoulder-to-shoulder support, equipping teachers with tools and strategies to allow students to struggle productively with math.
