Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Gets K-12 Textbooks to Texas Students On Time

AUSTIN, TX - As media reports surface in Texas claiming that many textbook orders will be weeks, if not months, late, global education leader Houghton Mifflin Harcourt (HMH) announced that the Company has had no problems fulfilling orders to date, and remains on schedule to get education materials to classrooms across the state in time for the start of the 2011-12 school year. There have been no delays in any high-demand subject orders (Math, Language Arts, ESL, etc.). Large shipments have already been made to Fort Bend Independent School District in the Houston area, Northside ISD in San Antonio as well as Houston ISD, all of which arrived on schedule.

“Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and its Holt McDougal imprint have a significant presence in Texas, which includes a major office in Austin, a large distribution center in Lewisville, and over 500 full-time employees in the state, ” said Eve Myers, Southwest Region Vice President, HMH. “This allows us to fulfill all orders immediately, ensuring that students across the state receive their educational materials on time.”
